Shanduko Yeupenyu Child Care programming in Epworth Harare province and directly, working through partners. Programs in girls’ education, psychosocial support and child protection, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights youth enterprise development are run through Epworth office in Epworth Harare. Shanduko has reoriented its programming to align with the Program Approach, focusing on the needs and priorities of three impact populations (IPs) identified as highly marginalized in the Zimbabwean context. These are: (1) female headed rural households; (2) urban women and girls; and (3) rural adolescent girls. Shanduko’s flagship project in Zimbabwe for IP3 is Girls Education Support Program (GESP) under Youth-Lead Child Protection (YLCP) project, which was implemented through a consortium of two local organisations and one international organization, with Plan International Zimbabwe as the lead agency. Shanduko Yeupenyu Child Care exists to provide sustainable support to girls in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 5 The ambassador programmes focus on supporting the Girls Education Scholarship Program for marginalised girls in Zimbabwe. The ambassador will promote leadership, sustainable Development, resources mobilisation, Girls take over programs and look and learn programs for girls and we believe that this will drive inclusive girls participation in economic growth.
Interested candidates must be women between the ages of 20-40 who have been running the girls programs for at least 2 year. The ambassador must be able to work independently and have a passionate desire to grow their existing Girls Education Scholarship program. The ambassador must also be willing to commit to 2 days per month to market the program on a voluntary basis.
