LOCATION: HARARE

The Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA), is an investment agency responsible for promoting and facilitation of both local and foreign investment in the country. The promulgation of the ZIDA Act, which repealed the Zimbabwe Investment Authority, the Zimbabwe Special Economic Zones Authority and the Joint Ventures Act, provides a clear, comprehensive and binding legal and regulatory framework for conducting investment activities, by both domestic and foreign investors in the country.

PURPOSE:

The Agency Driver/Messenger is responsible for providing safe, efficient and effective services to ZIDA staff and official visitors when required. This includes professional and safe driver services and efficient messenger and administrative support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide safe and punctual driving services as and when required
  • Collecting and delivering mail as instructed by the Administrative Officer
  • Ensure the safety of self, passengers and vehicles at all times when on duty
  • Ensure vehicles are serviced on time and schedule vehicle servicing time with Administrative Officer
  • Ensure that vehicles are always clean and in good running condition
  • Keep track of vehicle insurance renewals
  • Complete vehicle logbook for each vehicle used accurately
  • General support as instructed by Administrative Officer

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 O Levels including English Language
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle is a must
  • Clean Class 3 Driver’s license
  • Knowledge of local languages
