The Role

We are looking for Fields Assistants who will;

  • Facilitate community empowerment and capacity building through linkages and collaboration with partners operating at ward level.
  • Promote formation and training of farmer groups in climate smart agricultural practices.
  • Provide technical support on CCA investments, inclusive financial services and value chains.
  • Support formation and or strengthening of village savings groups and linking them to micro-finance institutions and other players to support livelihoods improvements.
  • Facilitate the identification and implementation of selected value chains that support climate change adaptation.

What we are looking for

Our next of Field Assistants in Gutu and Bulilima will require:

  • A diploma/degree in Agriculture/Agribusiness Management/Project Management or relevant qualification
  • Clean class 3/4 driver’s license
  • Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle is a must
  • For Bulilima Ndebele is a must
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in rural development and agricultural extension
  • Ability to work with teams, communicate and coordinate with government departments and other agencies at various levels.
  • Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development
