The role – what we expect from you:

  • Develop and design Learning and Development strategies that support the Group’s strategic plans and initiatives, in consultation with the Group Chief Human Resources Officer
  • Design actionable training and development plans covering all performance areas in line with the Training Needs Analysis
  • Develop initiatives that promote the Group’s learning organization culture
  • Champion modern approaches to Knowledge Management, creating the appropriate framework and system
  • Promote E-learning based approaches to course delivery
  • Design relevant Soft skills, Technical skills and Service skills programmes
  • Develop and implement learning and development KPIs and evaluation tools
  • Create an innovation and incubation hub facility for use by employees
  • Enhance employee on-boarding and induction procedures
  • Develop/enhance frameworks for the Management development and Graduate development programmes and create relevant partnerships and alliances
  • Collaborate with Business leaders on staff training requirements
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives
  • Research on, and recommend new ideas and approaches for the Learning and Development function

Qualifications, Skills and experience required:

  • A relevant Undergraduate Degree from a recognized and reputable tertiary institution
  • A post graduate qualification, i.e. MBA, MBL, or Training qualification would be an added advantage
  • 10 years relevant working experience, 5 years of which should be at Senior Management level
  • Strong business acumen and service orientation with good appreciation of operations of financial services industry
  • Sound knowledge of Learning and Development methodologies and their application
  • Good report writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Good stakeholder relationship management
