Job Overview

The Information Management Officer will coordinate and provide expertise to collect, manage, and analyse data and report results under the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Project.

Contract Duration: 12 months

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • University Degree in Social Studies/Statistics/Information Management or other related Social Science discipline
  • 3 years’ relevant experience in an environment dealing with child rights, child protection and child development
  • Good interpersonal, advocacy and team building skills, flair for research and report writing, excellent public relations and ability to network
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Desirable

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and commitment to capacity building of staff, with proven skills as a trainer/facilitator and mentor
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and resourceful
  • Experience using, SPSS, or other statistical packages is desirable for analyzing large datasets
  • Programming skills preferred. Adept at queries and report writing
  • Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
